Interior Conversion
Both driver and passenger will travel in total comfort in the Captain seats with twin armrests both re-trimmed in contrasting black and grey trim with dark red stitching. They also have 180-degree swivel facility allowing the seats to face backwards. The RIB bed include three-point seat belts and adjustable head restraints. RIB are the best M1 crash tested seat/beds on the market and it is covered in a combination of faux leather and Alcantara style upholstery to match the front seats and is braced correctly to the chassis. The bed surface is cloth and a soft foam base for a comfortable sleep. All of the internal metal panels are covered with sound deadening and filled with an eco-friendly recycled plastic bottle top insulation and covered in a quality interior lining.
A digitally controlled Propex heater warms the van very quickly. The kitchen furniture is CNC cut lightweight furniture ply made for the T6.1. Finished in Gloss Black cabinets and silver tambour doors the interior really looks special. The Dometic 9722 twin hob also has a sink and electric tap with a 10L water tank. The Fridge is a top range Dometic CRX50 with a small freezer compartment. The 4.5kg gas bottle is secured in a gas locker and vented through the floor as per regulations. A carbon monoxide alarm is also included. Privacy and additional insulation is provided by the Vanshades blinds finished in a wine colour to match and compliment the exterior paint finish. They are awesome as they black out the light, keep the warmth in and look amazing. The electrics include a full split charge system including a 110ah leisure battery with a 240v hook for onsite electricity. Three soft touch LED lights offer either cool white or blue light and are individually switched if needed. There is also a small LED strip light in the upper area. The floor is covered in a contract quality light grey wood effect vinyl which wouldn’t look out of place in any home.
Exterior Conversion
This Campervan comes fitted with the much acclaimed Skyline Aurora Gloss Black elevating roof with an easy to operate lifting system, upgraded with the bi-fold bed giving additional internal roof height and the Scenic canvas is able to be unzipped for a totally open feel. This roof is only 70mm in height and therefore when combined with the 50mm lowered suspension only raised the height of the van by 20mm.
The van comes complete with 20″ Inovit alloy wheels are fitted with brand new good quality Uniroyal Rain Sport 5 275/40/20 ZR van rated tyres, plus 50mm lowered Eibach springs. These springs give a really superior ride to the standard springs and give the van a really cool look. The front end has gloss black bumper inserts and grill, daytime running lights, fog lights and a lower splitter. Neatly hidden behind the front VW badge is the 240v hook up point ensuring a clean look on the outside of the vehicle. At the back it has a tailgate roof spoiler and this vehicle also benefits from the factory rear wash wipe and a tailgate. The trapezoid side bars give the T6.1 a lower stance and great look.
As with all of our Campervans it comes with an independent Gas and Electric Certificate for added peace of mind. It also has our 12-month conversion warranty and the balance of the manufacturer’s warranty until October 2024.
